Triple Berry Clean Eating Smoothie
Smoothies are a great way to get the recommended daily serving of fruits and vegetables (yes, you read that right), but they can also be a source of unnecessary calories (remember, just because some foods are “healthy” doesn’t mean you can eat or drink unlimited quantities of them)!
While I recommend that my clients EAT their calories, whenever possible, sometimes a smoothie can bridge the gap between meals, or provide a nutritious alternative.
The key to preparing a healthy smoothie is ensuring that the ingredients are whole, fresh, and minimally processed and that you’re not overdoing it on the serving size of fruit. Drinking a 24-ounce smoothie when 8 ounces is a serving size, means that you end up drinking 3x more than your body needs and that eventually, you’ll pack on unwanted pounds! This smoothie is a household family favorite that my kids enjoy. I hope you will too!
